Omedi Ochieng

Dr. Omedi Ochieng is an assistant professor in Black Studies and in the Department of Communication at Denison University. His teaching and research engagements are driven by the search for justice, wisdom, ethics and beauty. Omedi’s research has been primarily dedicated to rhetorical theory and criticism; the rhetoric of philosophy and the philosophy of rhetoric; political theory and practice; and aesthetic praxis. He is the author of two books: Groundwork for the Practice of the Good Life: Politics and Ethics at the Intersection of North Atlantic and African Philosophy (Routledge: 2017); and The Intellectual Imagination: Knowledge and Aesthetics in North Atlantic and African Philosophy (University of Notre Dame Press: 2018).
