Katya coordinates research work and media dissemination by Center staff, and serves as organizational liaison to Coming Clean and the Northeastern Environmental Justice Research Collaborative. Their own research focuses on just food systems built on principles of solidarity, regeneration and sovereignty. Katya was born in Russia, grew up in Los Angeles, and developed a passion for food sovereignty and international solidarity while living and working in Costa Rica. They speak Russian, and enjoy studying Spanish and French in their free time.
