Benjamin Levy is a researcher specializing in the study of environmental justice movements; linkages between global capitalism and the fossil fuel industry; as well as corporate attempts to influence political processes at the local, state, and national levels. He is currently researching struggles against the siting of liquefied natural gas infrastructure in the Pacific Northwest and the attempts, on the part of regional utility companies, to frustrate the implementation of environmentalist policies in the cities of Seattle and Tacoma.
